Poem - Bantry Bay - Cape

 Bantry Bay - Cape

At Bantry Bay
Where the waves crash high
Where the sun beats down
from the bright blue sky.

The Lions Head smiles
apon a scene serene
 jam packed bodies
of this mid-summer's dream,

Hot and sweaty
Raw and red
Their first day out
on the sandy bed

The Holiday makers
who have just arrived
offer their torsoe's
to brown and to fry.

The shapes and sizes
One can hardly describe
The boobs and bottoms
of the sun-drenched tribe.

In clusters and patters
spread out on the sand
The've gathered in thousands
from all over the land.

On rocks or shelly beach
They lie and the burn
Some only half done
Some done to a turn.

Determined to tan
from white to brown
Before they return
to the Suburb or Town

While in Cape Town  by Hillie Feldman 2nd January 1980
